Join us online on March 26 for our Sales Tax Reform Update webinar. David Casper, state and local tax manager with Eide Bailly, will define nexus and discuss its impact, Discuss how aggressive state expansions of sales tax collection requirements create filing requirements and risks for businesses working across state lines, Review the importance of staying in compliance and explore tools to help
Everything you thought you knew about sales tax probably changed in the U.S. Supreme Court Wayfair decision. States are now permitted to collect sales tax from out-of-state sellers with no physical presence in their state, including remote sellers, online retailers, phone order retailers and inbound (foreign) companies. Many states have updated their economic nexus standards to expand their reach to taxing out-of-state sellers. Now, more than ever, businesses need to review their sales tax collection practices to remain in compliance for every state they’re currently doing business in.
Webinars are complimentary for members, but you must be logged in.
