NACM North Central Survey Highlights Changing Roles for Credit Managers

In November 2019, NACM North Central conducted a member survey to better understand how our members’ roles and responsibilities as credit professionals are changing. The results will be used, in part, to help us develop members education and resources.
Among the roles member credit managers have either already assumed or anticipate taking on in the near future are:
- Contract credit term review: 64%
- Personnel issues: 47%
- Handling cash: 40%
- Supply chain management: 26%
- SOC compliance: 23%
Respondents provided a glimpse of the wide variety of responsibilities they are handling with roles now encompassing areas including: accounts payable, sales tax compliance, payroll, certificates of insurance, billing, process improvement, order review and more.
